I took music at GCSE and i have no idea what a compound time signature is...so it must be an expert thing or something :P



All I know about is cadences, clefs, dotted crotchets and minims...

I dont profess to be a master of music and GCSE music isn't exactly an in depth study. All I can remember is that Miss Murder did have what I described as a 'sweeping' rhythm.



There are a few other songs that have that Im sure but this song took the biscuit, ate the biscuit and then smeared its biscuity crumbs into the floor. Basically its musically adept.

And no, I'm not drunk...



AFI are gods. Im surprised people couldn't see this musical change coming after Sing for Sorrow seemed to be going more this way!

Well...each to their own. I think its still good music, its just lost its edge somewhat.



All bands go through change. I mean, check out In Flames. I still love them to bits to this day, even though theyve changed so much. It just depends if the new style music still appeals or not.



Same applies to AFI...although it does seem more and more bands are 'selling out' now, or whatever phrase applies.This Message Edited On 02.14.09

I think a mix of styles, both their old and new, would be good in their new release. That's not likely, though. They seem pretty settle in this style now. I guess change is good...most of the time

Personally, I find the ending of "The Interview" to be incredibly well done and the track "Kiss And Control" just does it for me. Those two tracks are amazing, especially if listened to through a pair of good headphones.
