I think the highs are higher here. Jordan, Beaufort, The Garden, Vampyre, Alley Cat are better than 90% of white bat for me. Plus I just love how this guy sounds

I remember Schuylar posted this semi-rant on twitter a year or so ago about how hard they worked on White Bat and how they felt it was some of their best material but they were getting almost no recognition from any media outlets. It genuinely broke my heart to see him feel that way.

Makes me sad, but I still loves em and am glad they have kept at it over the years

I had to bump my rating up for this. I really appreciate that they did something more stripped back that resembles a more straightforward rock album. Obviously, a *bit* heavier than trad rock, but the basic formula is still there. Even w/o the frills, they're such impressive songwriters.
Also, "Beaufort" is underrated.
