TYT (Cenk) is an amalgamation of the sensationalism of CNN/MSNBC coupled with some progressive talking points sprinkled in for good measure. What I hate are most of the people on the show, Cenk, Ana and Jimmy Dore are insufferable for the most part and arrogant as fuck to top it all off.
Partisan politics are the cancer of the nation, agreed. It's part of what keeps the country in the fucking stone age.

"Don't get me wrong, I hate when either left or right sides are slaves to their party, but every video I've seen from TYT has had this aura of arrogance"
Well both of us are very left wing so we might be a bit biased.

I side with parties on certain issues but I don't follow bundle ideologies as a whole. I'm economically, fiscally conservative, but socially much more liberal.

I'm centrist with libertarian leanings, not left wing. Even a lot of rational left-wing people that I know of can't stand TYT for that exact reason.

RedLetterMedia is a beacon of light not just for review channels but for YouTube in general

I've received so many recommendations to check out RedLetterMedia but I've never gotten around to watching his material.

I'm leftwing, but I hate the Democratic Party. It's just corruption, money-driven policies through and through. Both parties are as corrupt and warhawk as the other, so meh. I lean more on independents and Greens, but yeah.

Since I lived and most of my family still lives under socialism, anyone who even slightly tries to justify left economics and any amalgamation of socialism is instantly just not worth my time.

Basically I'm a centrist with moderate libertarian leanings, and slight right wing leanings. I voted for Gary in the last election. Socialism and Communism are both garbage.

@Snide it's a group of people, but it's mostly Mike. Check out his Plinkett Reviews Star Wars Prequels vids first, those were the first huge vids

Personally, I think there's a good balance to be found in a federally regulated capitalist system supported by social reform programs that do not create dependency, but instead stabilize people in rough economic situations to a point where they can provide for themselves with the help of government.

Socialism does exist in US to a certain degree, though.

I'm more for a free market "you either make it or you don't" approach, with the only regulations being reform to prevent monopolies like the ones we have currently. The only things that tax subsidies and shit like that should be going to are things that benefit the advancement of the human race, such as efficient technology, medical, and energy research.

@Jiggly: Yes, and that socialism should be at best kept to a bare minimum (funding of public roads / highways, etc), because it fucks up everything else, and they can barely get the roads right without a war spurning the economy forward.

I wish the U.S. wasn't as stubborn as is and considered a complete switch-over into what their money and taxes goes into. We're over-sourcing military, wouldn't it be ideal to put more movie and provide for college-level free education? Considering how many people get stuck after high school because they are not in a position where they can pay private college and they can only settle for fast-food / retail store jobs, giving people the ability to specialize into fields that pay much better would help unemployment and would actually give many people the will to put effort into their high school education, knowing that they could take advantage of college level education like that.

Another good point is that Venezuela, my home country, provided free healthcare before the socialist takeover. Public healthcare can be done correctly and can be used to counter-act the industrialized health enterprises that capitalize basic health needs.

@Dream: I'm completely against free college-level education, for the reason that it's supposed to be a higher standard of learning (although from what we've seen, US college campuses are becoming a toxic dumping ground for half baked idealism so it's kinda hard to classify it as such). Such a tax strain, and demand would cause the requirements for anything other than a basic bachelor's degree to shoot through the roof, and the bachelor's degree would become about as useful as a GED.
