I wish I liked the rest of this album as much as I like No Halo. Gosh, that song is just fantastic. A Portrait Of is hard to get past for me, and the rest of the album feels kind of middling and middle-of-the-road.

Would highly recommend it, dunno if you've ever seen Brand New live (also insanely good) but these guys add a lot of atmosphere to their live set as well as a ton of energy.

the video for no halo is pretty much like the song itself: trying to seem profound while not having enough talent for that. it's cute though and i still really like the musical aspects of the song

No Halo's video is incredible. It pulls off, for the most part, a lot of ideas that would sound a lot less tasteful in concept. (One exception being the shot of the schoolgirl drinking with her friends.) Video's incredibly well-directed IMO.
