Just listened to the whole album, and it's really really good, but it didn't quite meet my expectations. The songs are super good individually, but they don't seem all that cohesive together as a concept album. Idk, this is after listening to it once so I bet my opinion on it will change.

I think reading the story will help the flow make more sense. Still waiting for my physical.
I definitely do get some odd shifts and changes in tone but something tells me they're more deliberate/purposeful than they seem, and it's because of the story connection. Just my hunch.

Markus Vanhala from Omnium Gatherum being in the band has clearly invigorated their sense of melody. The guy is such a tasteful melodeath composer.
