Yeah, maybe don't, but I thought they were pretty cool when I was 13 or 14. One of those bands that got me into metal.

EDIT: Or if you have the guts, listen to Giving In and maybe you'll see what I'm talking about. It's not all that blatant, but immediately was like, "This chorus sounds like.... Adema?"

I get what you mean as far as the melody goes, but it's a totally different aesthetic really so I probably wouldn't have made that connection otherwise. But yea, I don't think I'd dig them if all of their stuff sounds like that lol

Redeemer IS the goat. Although this might take it place because it is utterly relentless and I haven't been able to find one bad moment on it.

"Just depends on where you look really, there's still awesome metalcore to be found these days"

not for me

'the 1000 WATTS chorus sounds absolutely nothing like Adema'

It's subtle and just the style of the vocals, not the production. Just came to mind. And yeah, no one here with decent taste should be liking or checking Adema. They junior-high-core form the early '00's.

Nah, just that one chorus. Nowhere else or this would suck.

"not for me"

Aww not even stuff like Seizures? They're probably my favorite active metalcore band not from the 90s

never heard them but i just mean in general the genre is not for me any more so regardless of if there is some good contemporary stuff out there, chances are I wouldn't care for it these days.

Wrongdoers was almost perfect. Some real killers there and no duds. Are there any tracks on here reminiscent of Sword In Mouth, Fire Eyes ;Funeral Singer or Sun Dies, Blood Moon?

The Close and Discontent: Sword in Mouth

Forever Hurtling Towards Andromeda: Funeral Singer

IV. The Nexus: Sun Dies, Blood Moon

This album does a lot of things quite differently to Wrongdoers, so those are just the closest tracks I could think of. I feel like Wrongdoers executed dynamics better than this record, or at least utilized quieter segments more frequently, and thus you can't really make direct comparisons as for the most part this album is more consistently hitting 11.
