The piano solo in Mr Usher is absolutely perfect the way it kicks in. It feels like the song is winding down and then "doodly doodly doodly doodly". So perfect.

Mr. Usher is too show-tuney for me. Sounds like something P!ATD would attempt.

I like the whole album, Melpomene too. Forgot about that one, but a Remembered Pt. 2 was definitely welcome amid all the heaviness of the other tracks. Gonna have to listen through another time or two, still not as immediate/lasting as the other Acts so far

after several listens this is probably my favorite tdh album. it's definitely not as "immediate" as some of the other albums though, I agree. gotta play it a few times for it to really sink in. Casey can do no wrong honestly.

chuck Act II has always been a personal favourite, its very overdramatic emo stuff not like this at all so unsure if you'll dig as much but it hits all the right emotional chords for me personally

There is a continuous story throughout the Acts which is basically the life and death of the Boy. Its set in the late 1800s and basically involves his slow descent from innocence into moral corruption and nasty shit like that. I'd explain better but I'm on my phone and sleep deprived there should be a good act by act tldr on Google somewhere

Am i the only one who prefers the 2nd half of the album?? Gloria , The Flame , The Fire , Blood ,A Beginning are giving me many dark vibes and goosebumps.

Fun fact is the the ending of "Blood" is matching perfectly with the beginning of "Epilogue" by TREOS. Casey's voice still sounds dope 11 years later.

Honestly I got some TREOS vibes here and there through the album. Maybe it was Casey's vocal style or just some of the rhythms, but it makes me want to dive back into BTHATS
