I honestly think he's a better vocalist than Austin. Aaron could totally front this band.

I think Austin is a pretty good vocalist (not on this record though), but I do think Aaron has a slight edge in that his cleans are much more powerful and have a wider range. I'd honestly rather see Aaron go back and revive Jamie's Elsewhere, because they broke up last year after their third album. Also, I'd rather not see Aaron front a band whose instrumentals are far inferior to Jamie's Elsewhere, but that's just what I think

Hear, hear. Hell, even if he did a band where he was the sole vocalist and only did cleans I'd be excited.

I do miss his screams though, I wonder if it was his decision to not scream at all in OMAM, because Shayley had some moments where he screamed or went into that raw yell that he uses extremely well.
The opening scream in "Visions In Sleep" still is amazing to this day

Yeah, that scream is rad. I think my favorite moment is at about the 1:15 mark of A Slave, A Son. That scream is killer.

Hell yea man, Visions In Sleep and A Slave, A Son are my favorite tracks on the album, with Wolves and Seasons up there as well. I love almost everything about the album

I still don't understand how an album that good flew under the radar.

My guess is just little to no promotion. Plus their first album wasn't met with great reviews, so that could've hurt them in that regard (even though I think their debut is pretty good).

"away, down the road, and transfigured could be better than 90% of shit on rock radio"
That's not hard to do

I see your point, but I honestly just feel like this is such a boring, tired, and instrumentally monotonous album that I can't see why it would receive more than a 2

and wow the lyrics to Relentless are cringey

if the cleans are the same dude who sang on my understandings and the radio rock instrumentals are not too bad then it sounds like I might 3 or 3.5 this
|
| |
damn the singer for that song is definitely not with them anymore. he only sang lead vocals for two whole songs too surprisingly. I need to check out Purify now tho.
also had no idea that the dude from attack attack formed this band. I did not like them.

All these fuckboi-nu-douchecore acts should die already. They're beating on horses that were pretty fucking dead back in 2009.

My money's on this being the lowest average rating for an album the whole year.
