"This album just comes off as Ethan trying to show the world he can do everything crystal castles has ever done in their career with or without Alice glass. Well he succeeds in that."

Best way to describe this tbh

the beginning and ending of this album rule hard, It's just a shame the middle is so average at times though. This could of been something so much more.

I had such high hopes for the record. I thought that it will be strong like every CC ever.

Femen was awesome... Then subpar tracks like Fleece, Sadist, Chloroform etc happened.

Can't believe that the singles were the strongest songs on the record.

Sigh. Wish that Alice released a quality album.

needs more dance beats and less cheap sounding trap hi hats and a singer that actually wants to take control of the music

i doubt Ethan would allow her to take control of the music

you can tell he is fully governing everything about her vocal presence

or by pure coincidence she has that style anyway

but that so ridiculously unlikely, she sounds so much like Alice in every way that its clear she was pretty much stripped of any freedom regarding vocal presence

In a interview she stated she wrote "Fleece," "Concrete" and "Enth, but it still feels like Ethan controlled all the arrangements.

Hopefully if they do another release she will be able to have more control. I do feel like Edith sounds kinda different than Alice, it's just the vocal production mimics the exact same used for Alice on previous releases.

This album does lack some of the things that I liked from the other albums, but I feel like it kinda proves Kath is in it for the long haul, instead of just releasing a couple of well charting albums and disappearing into oblivion.

I really love this album, but I don't really know what it is about it that I love. The bonus track Kept improves the flow of the album I find, as well as being just as danceable as the singles

this just lacks the depth their previous releases had

this was fun for a little while, but it doesn't give me many reasons to come back
