I mean I honestly don't understand how someone could justify giving this such a low rating. I mean I love Jac but this is some really enjoyable death metal, don't know how a fan of the genre could hate it so much.

The entire band's shtick was failing to write songs and I don't like that
They try to disorient you with nonsensical arrangements but the instrumentation is too basic to elicit any kind of bewilderment. So in the end it just sounds like a disorganised tape rehearsal but with good production values.

This kind of sums up why they suck. They genuinely thought they were pushing the fold when really all they did was chop up elementary OSDM riffs and string them together at random. They weren't doing anything novel but tried so hard to make it seem like they were, and the results are straight up laughable.

Idk bro I don't get that at all. Also I don't really care what they were trying to do tbh because this and the first album both riff hard as fuck. I can understand thinking they're douchebags for the above statement but that doesn't make their music any less enjoyable imo.
Agreed that this isn't pushing the boundaries of dm at all though. I mean it's death/doom that has been done before but I think they pull it off very well more often than not.
