Imagine thinking Douglas Robinson was kicked out of the band.
He left because they went a different direction, and he wanted to go back to The Sleeping. Glad I was able to see them live during the Lift Your Existence tour.

Lift your existence is pretty much perfect in my eyes. After registering to it over the years it just gets better and better. This album I finally listened to front to back and I am very underwhelmed. Seeing the reviews I was really looking forward to it.
His singing is not nearly as good as before. The music does sound a bit muffled. Some of the music is really good but virtually 0 choruses caught my ear. I am glad they went instrumental after this album. The 3rd album is very very good. Hopefully in time I'll learn to love this album more

Well I kinda lost interest in Night Verses after Doug left tbh... They still make objectively very quality music but I just didn't get into the instrumental stuff at all. Lift Your Existence was huge for me in high school, but I tend to come back to this one more. LYE feels perfect in its technicality and seamless flow, but the experiments found here are cooler. Yeah, some of the choices don't work out, but many of them do. Vocals aren't the most admirable feat for sure, but I like what Doug was going for here. I just love this album for the vibe, not for the technical abilities.
Anyways, the hype of this being the new Worship & Tribute didn't work out I guess?
