I guess I just haven't been paying attention although I do go for months without visiting the site sometimes.

I get the shakes when I'm not on the site for 3 days, it's an addiction.

Haha your comment count can attest to that! Yikes I've been here almost 3 times as long as you and you have 4 times the number of comments. Get some help!

If you'd have told me back when I joined that my comments would be at 11k+ by 2016 I would have called you a liar but here we are.

Yeah, pretty crazy. I thought you were one of the veterans of the site when I first saw that but then I snooped and I was like woah!!

Anyway this album has kicked off a RHCP listening spree. Been listening to their albums a lot lately

Haha if you want some veterans check out KILL (and his many, many alts) and guitarded_chuck, they've been here forever.

This is a very good album, definitely an improvement over IWY.

Agreed. I actually adore Josh's playing here. A lot more subtle than JF's style but I think he does make the album. Would absolutely love he had the same say in songwriting that John had in the band. I think he has a lot to offer.

Yeah he's come out of his shell here in a pretty big way, proving he's not just a replacement guitarist but a real member who deserves to be in the band.

Yeah, you've summed it up really perfectly really! He's given a 35yo old band a new lease of life! Not too many bands can release such an album after so many years together

The more I listen to this the more I love it, love the laid back vibe mixed with some nice hooks and choruses.

Definitely a grower of an album. I might have to bump my rating.

Goodbye Angels is my favourite right now, that bass solo at the end good god

This. I've always preferred a subtle guitar style and this has so many great parts, tones, layers, effects to tuck into.

Dark Necessities and Goodbye Angels are definitely the highlights off this album. I've also been digging The Longest Wave, pretty cool sounding chorus on that piece.

I really like Feasting on the Flowers, but the chorus change is pretty jarring... it's not a bad chorus, but there's no transition at all.

I think Josh shines the most out of everyone on the album, in playing and songwriting

Eh Flea's basslines are still the main attraction.
