This is reminding me most of Raising Your Voice... more than any of their others. It follows a lot of the same beats while covering more diverse musical territory. Both are brilliant in their own ways.

Their best is Kenotic for me but people usually start with Raising Your Voice. This wouldn't really be a bad place to start either. It has some of their most emotional songs.

Well I'd never heard of them before joining Sput, they don't seem to be as well-loved on RYM which is my other primary judge of general opinion, and they don't appear get a lot of reviews from major publications so they're not a critics band either. Sounds pretty Sputcore to me :-/

they are one of the most popular post-rock bands out there in general but yeah i'm a little surprised how few ratings they have on rym

Well they're not a very well known band. Within the post rock community they're a pretty big deal though, and they get lots of listeners on Spotify. If anything they're nowhere near as "sputcore" as Brand New or Neutral Milk Hotel.
