i don't feel i'm equipped to write a review of the new one, but i'm hoping someone does soon. i've always wanted to like these guys more than i have, especially after seeing them open for Neurosis in 2015. the new one is my favorite non-split release from them yet (their splits with Thou and Full of Hell are pretty amazing).
anyone else have thoughts on it?

why the hell would anyone think “i’m gonna put some beautiful vocals over an electronic bass drum that sounds like it came straight from a dance track, with some noisy distortion running throughout and some intensely abrasive shrieked vocals and some strings (?) for good measure” it makes no sense and it’s so good. that second track has me really excited for the album

got the album in the mail yesterday. they’ve taken the electronic elements as about as far as I could imagine they go with this and their last collaboration with full of hell. while I really love it so far, I hope they change directions again. who knows what to expect next
