I stop smoking shit ages ago.
These guys aren’t brillant songwritters, but I dig their tech vibe.

The new one doesn't feel as tech-y as this, prob cause of Fountainhead's absence

I feel like the new one is catchier and more accessible with more traditional melodies. Glad the vocoder shit is back too.

I hope you enjoyed the show.
I'm going to see these guys with Fallujah, Allegaeon and First Fragment in February.

Was a killer show. Steffen didn't make it because of passport theft, so they got the supporting band's vocalists to fill in for him. Seeing Inferi's vocalist absolutely decimate Anticosmic Overload was a real highlight. Lineup complications aside, that was one of the most tightly executed displays of musicianship I've had the pleasure of seeing.

Quite weird...it's like seeing Necrophagist without Muhammed

It's like seeing Children of Bodom without Alexi, or Amon Amarth without Johan... list goes on.
Cannibal Corpse without Corpsegrinder. lol

Woah, I remembered a pretty different Obscura from Cosmogenesis.
Ode to the sun popped up randomly in my playlist and I came here to see if I was crazy hearing Cynic in an Obscura record. Glad to see I'm not the only one hearing that, it's dat bass I tell you
Toward the end of the song I heard Empyrium.
Gonna jam this album

Their best for me.

Album slaps. To be honest I think this is easily their best. Their older stuff isn't bad but they seem to have a bit of a different sound going on here which I'm really digging.

It has a really organic, free-flowing feel. Much improved on that stale, drab piece they last released.
