This has more elements of post-rock and drone than the last one, sort of like Godspeed. Messe had more classical and quiet ambient parts.

Haven't quite digested all of this yet but it feels rather underwhelming

Cromagnosis is just wow. Idk even what this album could be categorized genre wise. Anyone know?

Electronic + ambient + post-rock + drone = experimental?

I'm digging this a bit more than Messe but still missing more vocals as mentioned before. Out of the non-remakes, Ecclesiastes is definitely my favorite from this.

Yea I'd definitely prefer that Garm sings but the music is still stellar.

More engaging than the last release for sure, to me at least. Garm is capable of enhancing or adding to a song or instrumental (as shown in the afore-mentioned song) so why not utilize that magic touch a bit more Mr. Rygg...

I think I prefer this to Messe, it's more musically diverse and engaging to me.

Agreed. That including the production values also make it more interesting than Messe to these ears.

Messe is better than this for sure but the last 3rd of this album reaches similar heights.

Ecclesiastes is better than anything on Messe, by a mile.

Not really but it's definitely the highlight here.

Definitely the highlight, agreed. One of the best songs they've released in nearly a decade. It's up there with some of the SotS material and back catalogue.

Liking the new version of Nowhere, iirc that was the only song I liked off Perdition City.
