This is definitely better than Sempiternal, still can't decide if it's a 4.5 or a 5 or not, I wish we had a 100 point scale

'Yeah that would be sweet actually'

haha but you don't rate anything. Is there a reason for that btw?

I had 3000+ ratings by about 2015, but then started getting lazy to add albums to the database. I always recalled RYM had like every release in existence ready for me to rate, so I spent a long time transferring my ratings over to RYM and I've been rating stuff there ever since.

Oh right haha, well that's fair enough, why did you erase the 3k ratings that you had already done though?

It's not a 5 but Oli Sykes seems to be writing from a more personal place starting on this album. The album after is pretty personal, too. Not sure what happened with their last album but it was really contrived in comparison

Sempiternal has, what could be looked at, a more mature approach to writing, but variety? No chance. Out of all BMTH albums, this one holds the most variety, for better or worse.

'Sempiternal has, what could be looked at, a more mature approach to writing, but variety? No chance.'

This, it's why this album is so much easier to listen too know that the shine of them being new albums have worn off, and why I keep coming back to this compared to Sempiternal.

It's always why TTS is such a massive dissapointment, I was really hoping that they would keep the maturity of Sempiternal but mix it with the variety of There is a Hell, but instead we get neither, and it's just a bland boring crap album.

Have you really? I'm not gonna lie, things do get ugly yeah haha

"why did you erase the 3k ratings that you had already done though?"

Perhaps it was a bit of OCD. Why keep a rating base that is never gonna be updated ever again right? I just wanted it cleaned up.

I would set this at like 3.8 or 3.9 if I could, otherwise just a 4.
