I'm a casual Bowie listener, so I listened to the minute-long samples of each song. The t/t sample grabbed me by the balls and made me want to listen to the whole thing immediately, but the rest of the tracks put me to sleep. Is this one of those things you really need to commit some time to or will I regret wasting forty some minutes on this if I've never been compelled to listen to anything he's done in the last couple decades? Halp.

i'm on board with people saying it's better than anything he's released in 20 years (not that it's his best since Scary Monster, though; I liked Earthling and Outside a bit). anyway, I like the title track enough, but it struck me as the best thing here easily.

Will probably give this a full listen today, but treating it as kind of a novelty experience because I doubt I'll go back and revisit anything he's done post 1980.

You'll think this is shite sowing dude.

It's nowhere near the magnificence of Tinkly Tim and the Twangers
