Awesome review. Never heard this band until I checked this album out. Where have I been??? Haha been pumping this album through every speaker I come into contact with. Time to check out their back catalog now.

Keep in mind that's because what they do they do well and they don't really deviate from it.

SikTh are amazing 85% of the time but also quite awkward sometimes (generally vocally).

I feel like you're missing the point if you dislike SikTh's vocals tbh

I get the point of em but they can be grating at times especially on older releases.

They're grating occasionally but their interplay is like 70% of the band's appeal

I think the vocals are the first thing that stood out to me and attracted me to this band. It was the same with blood brothers to me too. They both just happen to jam hard

Yeah I heard Bland Street Bloom first and I was sold as soon as that chorus hit

the "main" riff at 0:12, 0:20, etc in "walking shadows" sounds a whole lot like the intro to "goddess bound" by protest the hero.

Naaah. Just because it's a tapping frenzy kind of riff?

"Naaah. Just because it's a tapping frenzy kind of riff?"

same exact rhythm, same 'low note placement'

i think i enjoy this more than any of their other releases, because its short length helps it not overstay its welcome

Band has never been my thing.

But even this is bad for something I classify as that
