I think this is probably the album that I've enjoyed the most from them. It feels way tighter than any of their other releases.

the soft section at 6:30 leading into the main beat is fucking brilliant. only thing is the section is screaming to be doubled

Consistently impressive. While their last outing (Habitual Levitations) left the bitter taste of disappointed ashes in my mouth, the evolution between that botched effort and this newest LP is nothing short of... well, a bit shocking. I didn't see this one coming at all.

I also second the "jazzy feel" commendation. This is something the similarly progressive Opeth dallied with during their ill-fated zenith ("Face of Melinda"), and something I'd love more progressive outfits to embrace. It works massively here. If Intronaut can maintain this absurd momentum (...they probably can't), sludge metal may have a new reason to say "Hooray."

This was an entertaining album and an enjoyable listen for me, but it wasn't very gripping.

After Habitual Levitations I thought they would go backwards.... this is awesome. Some of Danny's work on this is insane.

Yeah Danny and Joe are beasts. All they needed is for the other two guys to catch up to them, and sure they did. The vocals here are massive.

I think they haven't been sludge ever since Valley Of Smoke tbh
