This album is absolutely amazing. It grows on you with every listen.

Yea this is really rad. Hopefully they don't break up now like Morbus Chron did.

"This gets better every time I listen to it."
Agreed. My initial listen I was like: "yeah not bad". A bunch more listens later I realized it's actually a phenomenal record.

Album is so tight but I really don't like the production

aw come on man, production on this is fantastic. Those drums sound so good.

Production is a big part of why this is so good.

eh I don't dig the sound of that snare
|
| |
Fair point, I like a bit of a tighter snare sound myself.

The production is really smooth and would be nice if it wasn't so OSDM. I feel like polished production and OSDM-influenced stuff makes for a weird contrast. But I've only listened like twice so I need to give it a few more spins

the sleep of morbid dreams still has the best production of any album in the revival of osdm

Not necessarily my favourite production, but that album sounds like pure evil.

for pure, evil, crushing dm, Sleep of Morbid Dreams has the perfect production, indeed. Nekropsalms sounds fucking beautiful too. Couldn't say which one I prefer, cause they play different styles. Good production is always the one that suits that specific album the most.

Both of them.

Nah Nekropslams does, much richer. Sleep of Morbid Dreams also has too much sibilance for my liking.
obliteration's two most recent are close second/third
