i like this a lot but i feel like it's missing something. it all kinda blends together a lil too much

true, but I feel like each individual song really shines through. like after a couple listens I could tell which song was which instead of all the songs sounding the same. The cohesiveness of this album is actually one of my favorite parts tbh

My mind is still blown that he only gave this a 3/10. What a dumbass. Mind cannot compute. This is better than TWIABP's Harmlessness, imo. Loved that album, but this is way better. I expected at worst a 6 or 7, but nope.. He put this right on Miley Cyrus status with a big ol 3

Not that I particularly like Fantano. But firstly he gave Miley a 1. Secondly it speaks volumes about you that you are so offended by someone voicing a different opinion then yours. No he's not a dumbass because he disagrees.

i remember talking with someone a couple months ago about how average ratings on Sput generally lean from the initial average in the direction of whatever score Fantano gives it in his review. i thought that untrue, but wasn't the average 0.2 points higher before Fantano's review came out?

lets be real here, this band is clearly talented and some of the songs are great. But the album overall is just WAY too mellow and slow. I don't mind a few songs that are laid back, but it would have benefited from more up tempo songs like The Magdalene

Couldn't agree more. there is almost NOTHING going on on this record. the instrumentation is lame, everything sounds mellow and frankly completely boring. we have been seeing bands doing this for more than 10 years now. magdalene is a great track though but it is pretty much the only thing that isnt plain shit on this. its a real shame considering how promising their last record was. I just dont get the sputnik hype
