nah Saor's way more epic than anything lunns done and way better organized, minus the guitars being too low in the mix.

I mean yeah it's more epic, but that doesn't mean much for me hahaha. I don't wanna sound like I don't enjoy Saor though cause I do.

nah hawks I feel you, I really dig Saor, but I enjoy Panopticon's work more
i used to be suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuper into agalloch, favorite band of all time, but i think i'm burned out on them, i can rarely sit through a release of theirs other than The White

I barely ever jam my all-time favorites. Once you start memorizing how songs go they often stop being as magical, and why over-listen to a handful of great junk when there's always more junk out there you haven't found that's potentially just as good?

yeah that's pretty much it. i have some great nostalgic memories of listening to the mantle and reading american gods by a fireplace years and years ago, i don't think i'll really be able to emotionally associate it with anything else

"This, Roads, and s/t are all way better than both Soar albums imo even though those both slay as well."
"nah Saor's way more epic than anything lunns done and way better organized, minus the guitars being too low in the mix."
You're both wrong. Also, after I revisited Agalloch I really can't stand some of their material anymore. The Mantle is alright, Marrow, Ashes and even Pale Folklore now either bore me to no end or make me cringe.

Agalloch's first four albums are amazing, The Mantle being best. Serpent is the only one that really has flaws.

"onionpolice"
I was in a "metal elitist" group on facebook for the heckofit and they loved using that onion phrase. Bunch of wankers too.

I've been using that for years so yeah Idk plus it happens that people come up with the same type of crap. It's like if you told me some dipshit has been using "more hatred" as universal answer to everything.
Also "metal elitist group on FB" already sounds heilariously terrible.

I expected it to be a bunch of metal nerds arguing about the best darkthrone album or the intricacies of tech death but it ended up just being a bunch of t00 3l33t 4 m3 jerks who constantly put down everything but the handful of tr00 obscvre albvms that they actually liked. And they constantly whined about how bad Dream Theater and mallcore (basically everything with palm-muting) were. It stopped being funny after about five minutes when I realized they were serious >_>

lol no, I've had my experiences with these types of groups before and they're almost uniformly either a bunch of pretentious dipshits or some kind of ubermanly testosterone cult with a really really weird ideology.
basically people whose ears I'd bite off and collect like butterflies If I ever had to spend more than an hour with them in the same room with no distractions.
