well the majority here uses the rating scale so that a 2 isn't a good album. for some people a 3.5 means it's just a decent album even though sputnik labels it as "great"

A bit. Nowhere near as much ambient downtime as Envy. This band are always a go, always going for that big sound. There aren't really builds, just a constant massive sound. Their last album sounded more like Envy because there is so much orchestra in this one, which isn't very Envy. Think of Envy's "loud parts", and that's what makes up the whole of this band's last album. Then add lots of violins and cellos and that's what makes up the whole of this album.

sach just make a soundoff for your ratings and include your definition of each score. If anyone looks at your ratings then they'll see your definition for each. Or put it in your profile under fav bands.

This doesn't sound like typical post rock.... It sounds like Hymn-era Mono guest starring a harsh vocalist and maybe the drummer drank a few too many coffees. Mono have a sound that no-one else really sounds anything like.

I don't get why anything is labelled as post rock everyone has a hissy fit saying it's typical. It rarely ever is

Literally why i like it. It sounds like my favorite mono album with lots of metal influence, what's not for me to like

the only difference between sput and rym ratings is that rym has a 0.5

ratings are weighted and you can rate everything whatever you want on rym

"There are some moments where they straight up rip off Godspeed"

because everything post-rock rips off of Godspeed, and this isn't really post-rock in the first place.
