Well it has 325 ratings so far and it's gone up since when it first streamed. I'm sure it'll go down a bit but it's still pretty high

I think I'm going to hold off listening to this until my vinyl comes in next month.

I don't want to over listen to this album before a 320 rip is even available.

I insta-5'd because I love the band. Also I was pretty floored first listen. To me there is nothing here that seems disappointing. And I haven't even listened in HD yet. Pretty sure I'll keep it at a 5. I keep listening to it over and over. Pretty sure it'll turn my brain to mush when I listen to it this Friday

i take the sputnikmusic rating system very seriously and i do believe that you, brushedred, are indeed abusing it.

just change your rating later then to correlate with how you feel about it at the time. I don't see anything wrong with 5'ing it if that's how you feel at the moment. It is kind of interesting to see how album ratings are always massively inflated at first then go down after time, shows kind of how well the album holds up after people have had some time to listen to it. I bet this album will end up at a 3.9 average

I'm at a solid 4.5 for this one. "Baby Blue" is the album's glaring weak spot, can't excuse those riffs in the middle. "Come Back" isn't hitting the spot yet, but the other three tracks are astonishing, up there with the band's best work. This record is a definitely a worthy follow-up to Sunbather.

I'm abusing a website because I rate an album a 5 the day after it streams because I'm floored so therefore I continue to listen to it and it gets better and better, therefore I keep my rating at a 5 and intend to keep it there? Okay.

It's not like I rated it a 5 and only listened once. This has been basically all I've listened to the past 2 days..

And Baby Blue is fantastic. Not understanding the hate
