more like 20 minutes longer but close enough
even so 50 minutes for an album is pretty normal tbh

Well I will give it a few more plays to see if it grows on me. Last time I saw them live it was pretty fun. Nevertheless I am glad to see people enjoying the band.

A poppy-ish Emo album can get a little grating at longer lengths, but I think has sufficient variation.

reminds me of sleepmakeswaves, definitely a point where the post rock influence is at its strongest

Is it just me or does some of the material remind you of some Fleet Foxes? Also, this is sitting around a 4 or 4.5 for me - been returning to it a lot.

Considering the majesty of You Can't live here Forever - The album is disappointing as a whole for me

Album is good, but here are my thoughts in comparing W,IF and Harmlessness.:
As a package, I prefer Whenever, If Ever. Something about that record just begs to be listened to front to back. Some of the songs lose impact as individual tracks and are not as fleshed out as Harmlessness, but as an album it was nearly perfect from the very first listen.
Harmlessness probably has better individual songs. There is maturity in the songwriting (which can be a positive or negative depending on how much you liked the raw aspect in some of the songs on the previous album) and there is a lot of variety here, yet everything still fits on the same record. It's good. But it lacks that special something that makes me want to listen front to back and instead I already tend to be in the mood for just certain songs. It's really good, but just lacks this unique cohesiveness that I feel the previous had.

This sounds more like Owl City than emo revival to me

@JamieCTA
four out of five even though it isn't a cohesive album?
reads more like 3/3.5 to me

Comparing an album to Owl City while giving it a positive rating. I see your bullshit.
