And we're heeeeeeeereee!!!! SO GOOD.
The EPs are next, but first First And Last And Always.
"Sounds good, will check them chronologically I think."

when they're good they're great. could live without all the melodic post-punk Catchy Chorus attempts on trax 1 thru 4 though

Wow wow wow I looooove those catchier moments. But I love all of this so OK whatever!

This seems good, mostly digging the vibe but I must agree with Johnny that I could do without the melodic post-punk catchiness at certain points
Floodland is rather overbearing though, a step too far in the wrong direction. Sounds reminiscent of a pantomime or something else overly 'dramatic'

Should have seen that coming indeed, but nice that you checked! A goth run would not be complete without at least one of their albums.

The fact I like Cradle of Filth and not (some) of this (well Floodland, mainly) is causing self-reflection and no shortage of self-ridicule in my head right now, especially given I used the phrase 'overly dramatic' as a bone of contention.

Definitely. There are super clear parallels between Sisters and Cradle, it's unmistakable. They're very different too of course, so you're forgiven for loving one and merely liking the other.
Cradle's No Time To Cry is so good too omg.

I prefer their later (current) era, but Trif is the guy to speak to about Cradle
