Red/black is quite epic, yes.
I'll leave off here and pick this up again tomorrow.

The great parts of this album are real good ,but Shadows of the Valley and The Great Unknown are just not doing it for me. Still can't be as bad as the abortion of a song known as Gangland, reason why NotB will never be best Maiden album.

Great Unknown brings awesome AMOLAD vibes dude.

I really love AMOLAD, but idk why I'm not feeling it. I love the vibes from the title track though. And I really like the choruses on those two songs, but I'm not digging the rest of them.

I still have no fucking idea why Gangland and Invaders catch so much hate. I don't find they're any worse than the rest of the album. Actually like Gangland over The Prisoner and maybe Run to the Hills, and Invaders is maybe my favorite on the album aside from Children of the Damned.

I'm 4 songs in and already like this more than Final Frontier.
What I don't get on all the Iron Maiden album rankings I've seen is why Powerslave is so high and Fear of the Dark so low? Powerslave to me 2 Minutes to Midnight and Aces high were the only two songs that truly made a lasting impression on me. Maybe I need to revisit that lp i still have it on cd.
And Fear of the Dark was the song that sparked the realization that Maiden wasn't just some 80's skid metal band but something special. It was that song and subsequently that album that introduced me to their greatness and Brave New World shortly thereafter that made me a fan for life.
5th song whatever it is I'm loving too, wow! fkin rights this album is already solid. Can't wait to hear the rest of it

The only way I can see that happening is if somehow, Powerslave would end with Back in the Village.

Fear Of The Dark has many great tracks ( t/t, Afraid To Shoot Strangers, Childhood's End etc) but also a lot of fillers...Powerslave on the other hand is great from start to finish

I don't get what you're saying.
Oh it has rhyme of the ancient mariner on it too, forgot that one. Still think it's overrated for my tastes though.

In flames be quick or be dead also, one of my favorite maiden tracks ever.

dafuq guys, you forgetting judas be my guide... Most underrated maiden song ever... on par with purgatory...I'd throw loneliness of long distance runner in there too, but Somewhere in Time is a timeless classic, so...

How could you forget Wasting Love, groove maiden FTW - But, seriously, Powerslave is rated that high for a reason. Somewhere in Time still their best tho.
