Yea bm is definitely the most infinite genre I've came across. It comes from so many diverse places.

I've been listening to both genres so much for so long, though certainly not as much as I did as a teen. I still love dm, but at this point in my life I prefer bm for its diversity and range of emotions, atmospheres, and just different sounds it is able to exhibit compared to other genres of metal.

When death metal is straight forward and not so pretentious eg: Human and Symbolic, Mental funeral, Altars of Madness etc nothing beats it. but yeah on average BM band are better.

I've always preferred DM and there's a lot of variety in it, too. It'd have been boring if we only had straightforward DM.
