this album just lacks all of dr. dre's personality for me. the production feels like its more appealing to the current sound rather than trying at all to stand out from the crowd. Not to mention the fact that he rarely raps on here, and when he does on he barely even sounds like himself most of the time
i know Dre isn't regarded as the best rapper and even most of his shit is ghost written, but i always loved his command on the mic, and felt like he had one of the best voices in hip-hop. I thought this would've been a great last project for him to bow out on, but this was just a disappointment.
I honestly liked most of the released Detox tracks better than this, I wish he would just release the demos for that in some mega collection or something.
