He just sort of lacks his own style.

"Something New" omg. The hooks are out of this world.

He def had more of his own style/thing going on in Tides of Man

At least iirc, but yeah some of his melodies are pretty sweet

Never listened to a DGD album before, but I'll give this one a spin soon.

Judging by your ratings I'd recommend starting with their debut

Then again, maybe I'm slightly biased because this did almost nothing for me

"Downtown Battle Mountain 1" is IMO one of the strongest debuts of a young band I've ever heard. All of them were literally between 19-21 if I'm not mistaken, when that came out.

Variation is extremely bad. Literally couldn't make it to the end. Maybe an accumilative effect from the album in general, but Variation seemed to break the camels back.

Variation is the best track on the whole album. Seriously, that chorus is like HIV.

It all just blends together for me, as do most of their albums. Not the band for me, I guess.

@Spec While Alexisonfire's debut is great, I much prefer "Watch Out" personally. "Happiness By the Kilowatt" is one of my all-time favorite tracks.
