No offense, but anyone who rates all of Staind's albums, all of Godsmack's albums, and all of Disturbed's albums "5/5" doesn't have much credibility. This Message Edited On 05.14.06

who are you to judge, you probably listen to good charlotte way too much, and i hate staind's 14 shades of gray CD.

-i make good use of my money and not buy useless cd's like tool.

plus, godsmack and disturbed are better than tool. that is just me, and i happen to like those 3 bands. i might change those ratings though, because that was when i first joined and now have gotten used to the forums. Oh well

hey at least arron lewis doesn't have to do a side project with a different band who is just as good as tool to get some money.

Are we seriously arguing over which band is better when it all revolves around opinions?

Is it possible to have a heart attack from laughing too much?
And if anybody doesn't know about the whole Wings For Marie Pt. 1 & 2 + Viginti Tres thing, check it out, it's not bullshit and it's really cool. I told everybody it would take a while for the album's secrets to reveal themselves...

Fanboys upset me...Pearl Jam is below this album...but luckily the Chili's are higher on the 2006 charts.

I think I'm the last person on this site to have checked this album out.

And for the record I have never in my life have heard the expession "shit the bed" in anything other than the literal meaning. (ie. "I was so wasted last night I shit the bed")

I like this album less and less every time I listen to it. I just sat through the whole thing again, and I can't stand how they decided to produce Maynard's voice. Combined with the relatively poor songwriting on the albun, in my opinion, I think that this is the worst thing they've ever produced. The odd good song, but really this is a huge disappointment in my opinion. Oh well.

You're my boy, blue! Errr...Iai. ;)

Best review that I've seen so far. I would have to say that Danny Carey HAS stepped up his playing quite a bit, though. I can understand if the exact ways in which he has improved are difficult for non-drummers to hear, though...it's mostly in regards to the cleanness of his chops and his groove. Not to say that he didn't have incredibly clean chops...pretty much from the start, but some of the stuff on this album is ridiculous. Although, to be fair, I DID get a taste of that before the tool release with his jam-band, there were still numerous moments where I was saying to myself "Holy crap, he can do THIS?"

My biggest problem with the album is that it isn't as heavy as I expected it to be. The only truly heavy track/s on here, in my opinion, are Wings for Marie and 10,000 Days. Even Jambi, which I'll admit at first was a little surprising, doesn't really feel that heavy...even with the Meshuggah influence! Perhaps this simply could be blamed on the production, but I'm really missing something here.

My other main gripe is that Maynard delivers perhaps one of his best vocal melodies to date - the "Weeping shades of indigo...shed without a reason" bit - BUT DOESN'T TAKE IT ANYWHERE! It felt like such a tease...he could have even just used the same melody and spun out more words and I would have been happy, but that whole section felt WAY too short.

I have never listened to Tool in my life(are they any good?) but since it's getting so much talk on Sputnik, I might just check it out.

i love the new album. either "the pot" or "jambi" being my fav.. they're tied. i still consider Aenima their best work but i havent heard nething earlier than that album. i actually like rosetta stoned a lot too. overall a great album, not so many fillers as the last ones..
