Nightcrawler was fantastic.

Gyllenhaal stole the show in that movie. His character was maniacally awesome and in turn awesome to watch on the screen.

"now, going to do that is perfectly in character for Coop. I mean, what is he going to do? Hang around in that space ship with TARS and drink beer? We know he's eager to get his hands dirty (in a space-travelling sense). Hathaway's character is also the only one he actually knows that's still around."
wait that's not what i'm saying. my complaints aren't about what's in character, but rather whether or not the ending is justified by everything that preceded it, and vice-versa. the grand message of love conquers all or whatever doesn't work when the actual relationships of love as presented aren't compelling. that's what i was saying.

I feel like I like the subtelty of Hathaway/McConawhatever's romance in this. I do see both sides of the argument, but it's nice to see a love side-story that doesn't dominate the plot/character development of the film. The concept of love transcending dimensions just like gravity was actually one of the more well done aspects of the film imo.
but also, I kind of agree that the relationship between the two isn't compelling, but I think this has more to do with my deep hatred of McCosdgnsdmg than anything rational. I just don't care if he "gets the girl" or anything like that.
¯_(ツ)_/¯

I should probably rate this soundtrack but I'm having a hard time separating my lukewarm feelings towards the film from the soundtrack, which on its own I found to be marvelous.

I'm confused Aids you admitted he was a good actor just last page of this thread and now you have a deep hatred for him? Or is it both?
