Dark Matters is much more enjoyable to listen to.
I'm getting real sick and tired of hearing Anneke on these albums too. Addicted is still my least favorite album from him to date.
Also Silent Militia is one of the worst songs he's done next to Humble and Liberation. Gawddamn.

I didn't like it too much and mostly because of Anneke. I just don't care for her vocals at all. The vocals on Sky Blue are clusterfucked with Devin, choirs and Anneke's pig squeals and growls. -_____--------

I think Anneke suits the considerably poppier direction of this one better than on Addicted and since the vocal arrangements are more dense it works a little better. Never had an issue with her style though.

i just can't get into dark matters like I can sky blue. It's literally half talking, and the other half feels kind of phoned-in musically.
I love devin so I can let a mediocre album go every so often, but yeah not his best.

^I can understand this. Wandering Eye starts out well but just falls into narration and Through The Wormhole is just narration lol. I kinda wouldn't mind if Through The Wormhole was just the first part of Dimension Z.

Silent Militia is a tough listen. I think it's actually my least favorite Devin song ever.
The whole Nu metal take on the you spin me right round baby right round chorus, and lyrics like
"so you wanna feel it? YOU'D BETTER STEP UP!!"
and
"do you believe we'll make it alright? OH YEAH"
are hilariously awful. If they ever shoot a video for it I'd imagine it would have a choreographed dance battle in there somewhere.
