Nah, I don't think he seems like a smug jerk or feels superior to everyone. I just said he makes some blunders in the moments where he seems to start to go there.
I also don't feel like he's 100% honest about everything he enjoys, and it appears he had more of a past in metal and had a phase with nu-metal stuff and the likes of Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie and Rammstein. If you look at some of his discussion videos about worst songs of his childhood and the like, I just feel like stuff comes out and he seems to try too hard to distance himself from any of that.
Although I can say with 100% honesty that I don't even feel nostalgic love for some of the things I liked as a young teenager, so...

I've never heard him express a like or dislike for those bands you mentioned above. As for the blunders, I kind of agree but they're small enough to ignore from my point of view.
