I mean vocals are great in studio although I can see why they turn some people away. I do have to say, Sal has a pretty weak voice so while on studio recordings he can pull some strong notes, he really lacks power in all live performances I've seen

The vocals are literally the deciding reason I rated the album. With generic vocals this would be no where near the same album. I think the lead singer is one of the best to come out of rock over the past decade.

sal being the weakest part of the band doesn't equate to his vocals being weak overall, he's certainly talented. he just isn't what i appreciate the most about the group's output

I agree with that. He is a pretty good vocalist but just the fact he's pretty weak in live performances is a little turn off for me. Other than that, he's great.
