I actually don't think the album is good until it reaches "Fragile and Dear." The first 4 tracks are bland as all hell and if I could redo the track-listing it would go like this:

1. Lift a Sail

2. MSK

3. My Mountain

4. Illuminate

5. One Bedroom

6. Convocation

7. Transmission Home

8. Make Me So

9. The Deepest Well

10. Crash The Gates

11. Fragile And Dear

12. Madrid

13. California

Or something close to that

MSK definitely belongs close to the end in my opinion.

I actually like Convocation and Transmission Home, but yeah I could do without the rest of the first half.

It baffles me how Southern Air is their highest and Lights & Sounds the lowest ranked album they have here (starting with Ocean Ave)... I'm pretty sure if I were to do one of those silly album ranking things Southern Air would be on the bottom of my list.

THANK YOU!

Southern air is hands down the worst. Ocean avenue and lights/sounds are tied as best for me.

It's cool if you don't like it, but there's just no feasible way to compare this to one direction without trying to troll someone.

But this is alt rock/pop punk and one direction is a frickin boy band. They almost couldn't sound different.

"But this is alt rock/pop punk and one direction is a frickin boy band. They almost couldn't sound different."

I've been listening to YC for a while now, and they are pretty good. Ocean Avenue was good pop punk and Lights and Sounds sounded more alternative rock than anything (I can remember City of Devils being excellent).

This sounded nothing like those albums and yes, it reminded me of something coming from disney, I couldn't bear it.
