"ok so this is good but some of the shredding is pretty annoying

idk how so many of you guys can criticize bands for being too "wanky" and then think that the endless sloppy sweep-picking in the first song sounds good"

Sloppiness is inherent to black metal and really adds to it IMO. And I know you can tell the difference between this, and btbam kind of wank, so I'm not even going to respond that.

Bang on! Sloppy guitar work in bm just adds another layer of bitter emotion to the music.

True. This year's Skaphe album is an awesome example.

Yeah but does that make it exciting? I mean most people - even mutants like me that can get by on minimum hours - appreciate a good night of sleep.

It's like saying "I like food" - who doesn't?

The prospects of sleep and food excite me greatly. Even if it's not great sleep, getting that chance to unwind and be with my thoughts is something I can very much look forward to. Also, some people don't care for eating like others do.... also, some people have great passion in food and cooking, so I can see how it would be exciting.

How are you with your thoughts when you're asleep?

I'm just saying, those are things that are universally "enjoyed" or "appreciated" to a certain degree so I don't entirely see what would make them particularly more enjoying than something else.
