Yeah, that's a fair point. I was really down on the album when it isn't bad at all. If I'd found it in a vacuum I'd probably be telling people to check it out, but when you're bombarded with superlatives on something and you're unimpressed, it's hard to avoid most of your discussion being counterpoints to the "common wisdom" or whatever.
Really at the end of the day the album feels like what happens when a bunch of art students don't have anyone around telling them that something isn't really that interesting. It's massively self-indulgent.

nah I don't have a problem with dwelling on the negatives here, at all. you reviewed it in context. anything else wouldn't have made as much sense.
my only gripe with the review is that it's overlong. but other than that I think it's well-done.
