I may have said this on a previous page, but I prefer this album on a song-by-song basis and I prefer Opera on a conceptual/"whole album experience" basis. Either way, I love both records

essential heavy metal tbh

Essential prog too

Someday I will accept the childish nature of some of the lyrics they wrote. I always expected the creativity of Rush or Genesis but Freddy accepting the most ridiculous lyrical content of his bandmates is perhaps the weakest point of the band. Writing a song about your cat....c'mon!

Queen have some excellent lyrics
Innuendo's title track, Who Wants to Live Forever and, as cliche as it may be, Bohemian Rhapsody are all amazing on the lyrics department
Songs about cats or cars are just fun little songs

Queen does heavy metal and it is brilliant. Oh, and The March of the Black Queen is their best song by a mile.
