I'm digging this. Been a big Devin fan for years, but took a bit of a break after Epicloud, so it's nice to return to solid new Dev stuff.
I really find Devin's career very remarkable. With the amount of weird places and concepts he's gone into, it would have been SUPER EASY to have a couple of complete failures in there, but actually pretty much all of his albums have come out solid. A very unique musician.

open c's so dang fun to jam in, super versatile too

also does anyone get a bit of a grateful dead vibe from this

i almost exclusively play fender tele's so it sounds like shit if i tune down to drop b
but drop c is perfect, especially if you wanna replicate the terria tone (which i do ;])

i always wanna replicate devy's tones they're so perf
especially on accelerated, ugh that kinda tone is pretty much my favourite for heavy atmospheric rock.
I must obtain it.

This seems to be getting lots of hype. Idk I'd give it a shot but I'm not fond of country really :/

haven't heard this either, but mongi keep in mind that this is devy. no matter what genre he does, his shit is always 100% him. he's almost his own genre tbh

I'm not a huge country guy myself but this isn't your typical Luke Bryant country radio bullshit. I'm only about half way in and I can already say I agree that this is Devy's most accomplished work in a while, probably since the AE/Synchestra days IMO.
Read an article today that was talking about how this was the first album in some time that there was no pressure on him to do things any which way, just a side project he was working on in between albums, and it shows. I am a long time SYL/Devin fan and while the last few albums he's done had their moments, I haven't been totally enthralled with them like with some of his past work. Some of the DTP material was a little forced..a little undercooked maybe. This album though is a fully developed, atmospherically enveloping ride.

"i always wanna replicate devy's tones they're so perf"
It's true but he has more effects pedals and shit than I could fit in my house
