the last interlude is there because the album is designed so that the end of the album leads back to the beginning

that's cute, but ultimately dumb. i get the serpent/ouroborus concept or whatever, but honestly why the fuk would i want to listen to this twice in a row?

"the last interlude is there because the album is designed so that the end of the album leads back to the beginning"

i actually don't see that at all. it doesn't segue into the first song, which has a very distinct atmosphere. also your rating for this blows, noctus

lol, hammer time wiz c'mon!!!!

Not in this thread, some wildly differing opinions happening. Also, the hammer drops when I see stupidity and so far, the culprits in this thread don't need me to help them along.

Not going lie to anyone, I love this album to death. It came at a time when I needed an album like this. I had no expectations whatsoever going into it and I think it benefited the experience that much more.

Sounds like an Agalloch record if Agalloch fell asleep on an Agalloch record.

Gyromania - it leads into the second song. The first sits "outside" the ouroboros.

(okay that's not objective fact, but this review makes a sensible argument for that being the case)

Quite liked the Pitchfork review for this album despite the rating being higher than Ashes.
