"bands like Oceano, Suicide Silence, and Emmure, that have essentially taken the idea of death metal, wiped their ass with it and released their excrement-stained toilet paper to the public in the form of 40-minute LPs."
HAHAHAHAHA people are staring at me cause I'm alone in my cube dying laughing XD Definitely will give this a listen though.

How The Times Have Changed is definitely my favorite track here but Blacked out has that riff at :32 and the guitar solo and its gnarly.

Yeah i was probably a bit generous with the 4.5 xD

I'm not usually a fan of their slower songs but if not for Let Me Burn this'd probably be a low 2.5 for me

Despite the nostalgia with their two loved ones their s/t is probably my favorite

Agreed.

TIE and ANEOC have great first halfs but there's no sense of dynamics, the drummer is talented but he seems to use blast beats/skank beats at all the wrong places and the music is just hard to listen to because of it. S/T corrected those mistakes for the most part
But Daemon is probably my all time favorite deathcore song
|

I really like the t/t on This Is Exile.

Yeah, self-titled is definitely my favorite as well. Phil is such a beastly vocalist.
|
| |
It pisses me off that they feel the need to overdub his vocals so much.

T/T on TIE might've been the first deathcore song I ever heard which is probably the center of the nostalgia there
And the overdubbing seems unnecessary, he's already one of the best vocalists in the genre why do they feel the need to process it so much

Opening of darkest day of man rubs me so wrong. Blasting over that chugging is literally the worst.

There's examples of that all over their first three albums. It's pretty appalling after a while
