I enjoyed this but it felt a bit repetitive, really liked the atmosphere though. Deserves another listen

I can see how people would say this is repetitive but these riffs are so good, I honestly never got bored listening to this

finally listened to this entire thing for the first time. gotta admit I didn't love it, riffage and vocals got too repetitive. maybe it'll click after a couple more spins

I'll never get over this band.

I still spin this regularly, and I would die for a remaster. Just clean it up, it sounds very compressed and lacks clarity. Don't change anything else. It just sounds a bit to crunchy at high volume.

Triple Gemini does indeed slap - probably my favourite track.

The same treatment Isis gave to their first 3 albums, yeah, I'd insta buy it

The ONLY thing keeping this from a 5 for me.

Honestly, a ton of my stuff would be 5 if I wasn't a little embarrassed about it.

I think I need to change my rating philosophy. If I'm still listening to a record, and I'm still blown away by it 10 years later, it's a 5. Idgaf about objectivity, I only really return to music that grabs me by the balls. This does that for sure.

Perfect sludge metal.

You are absolutely right.

I made this account when I was 17 or so, and Im 33 now, so I think I'm mostly at odds with myself - haha.

hmm it's been a (long) while, so I wonder how this holds up. Is this really that sludgy in a gritty way, or more on the slightly more polished side of prog / post. Idk maybe I'm mislabelling these guys via hazy memory-bank access lol

also we need a band named Glass Cathedrals with a "Conjurer" release

Idk man, I think the production is kind of ass, so it is gritty in that way - lol

But they definitely have beautiful vocals and melodies, too.

When it's heavy, it's heavy. YMMV.

FWIW, you'd be hard pressed to find a boring moment on this record.

Definitely more on the prog-post, but it's funny you've mentioned that because I've been listening to Conjurer a LOT lately, specially a track called The Mire

I haven't listened to them, I'll have to give em a spin.
