giving something a 1 is perfectly legitimate, saying something isn't music however, is downright retardation

There are other plunderphonics artists that do it right.

I haven't heard this and knowing the style I can almost guarantee that I wouldn't like it much at all and yet I still find your fallacious tendencies insufferable

By sampling a narrower range of songs and being less creative, okay.

saying people are wrong for rating something a 1 because they "just don't get it" is a slippery slope. isn't it ok to simply say i hate this and not automatically be considered "well that's bc you just don't have all the understanding you need to" just bc its vaporwave and thus on some higher plane of art than generic metalcore band

If it were that easy to transcend made up genres with other made up genres somebody would have done it

already.

yeah thats why i stopped posting cause i realized this is the conclusion you will inevitably have to come to. subjectivity is a hard thing to try to deconstruct.

is this just a failed attempt at humor or are you serious? "made up genres" is a category that includes every genre.

Do you deny that jazz exists? What about blues?

Both plunderphonics and vaporwave are terms coined by music fans that have found some acceptance.

These are rubbish descriptors though. It's a form of sound collage, nothing more. Negativland and

Macintosh Plus are cut from the same cloth. The difference is, one has been doing this stuff for over

30 years and has talent.

It's all relative tho. Jazz and Blues in of themselves don't exist. They're just abstract descriptors we apply to music. Same as Plunderphonics and Vaporwave.

Nope. There has been a long standing consensus among music historians that these are the appropriate

terms to use. You can challenge them, but don't expect anybody to listen to you.
