That beautiful mountain yo
|

Sorry but Seizures has the edge for me because space yo
AVL has just a bit too much of a modern sound for me, don't really love the clean vocals either. Seizures mostly sticks with the brutal mathcore sound and has really dense production that fits the space theme very well, and I'm a sucker for that stuff.
Think my second fave would be Knut's Challenger.

Well AVL isn't metalcore either, it's a bunch of stuff
I just like spreading my love for them everywhere
And if modern metalcore extends all the way to Challenger then there's a lot more competition to this
|
| |
Seizures and Knut are my top two for metalcore in general, should've specified.
Although my rankings are never static, generally have a hard time picking a favorite anything. Moods are always changing.

Tru
Miss that classic metalcore sound tbqh, tho it's kinda making a last stand
Zao, Hopesfall, Converge still trying to hold out
|
| |
lol, Converge hasn't put out any new material for five years and Hopesfall stopped being metalcore in 2004. That new Zao record is rad though, and hopefully Kashee Opeiah will finally be releasing their sophomore album this year...after eleven years.

I hold out hope for Converge my man, with Dillinger gone somebody more in the metalcore mainstream needs to bring the chaos
I'd say Hopesfall still stayed a variant of metalcore but w/e, genre debates are no fun
I'll try them again if they get some new material out
