Checked it out. It's like a low 3 or something. Not even close to comparable, although not bad at all, there is nothing inherently wrong with it, it just lacks everything that elevates this album to the top.

thats the thing rowan i generally dont. damage, yeah, but i grew up with jimmy eat world they were the first band i ever loved
and have been obsessed with them since 2001, so if a new album comes out it wont take me long to know if its right. jimmy
eat world are almost outside of regular scrutiny for me as im so attached to them its hard to compare other bands on the
same spectrum of ratings. but other than damage, this is the first album thats blown me away right from the start in a
very long time. usually it takes me a while to warm to an album.

before damage i hadnt fived anything in 4 years. and now i have two fives in a single year. its good cause it makes up for the fact that this year was actually a little disappointing for me in terms of music. i feel like 2011 was a great year for postrock, and 2012 not bad either, but 2013 pretty dry and underwhelming.
