Instrumentation is really good, love the bass in DNA, but I just cannot get into the vocals.

yeah i don't like him at all but like hanson said, he band's whole sound is designed to match his vocals it seems.
that vocal/lyric-centered approach is probably the one thing that all the "wave" bands have in common fundamentally.
