Just my two cents, but Lifetime better epitomizes "emo" in it's truest form. Fugazi convolutes things (in a good way) with a less poppy sound.
As for this album, it rocks.

Very disappointing album..Whats worse is that if you don't like htis album, AFI fans who liked their old and new stuff accuse you of being ignorrant. Im sure this music would've been great for a new gothic alternative rock band, but from going from Art of Drowning, which was still pretty punky despite having some dangerously close themes (Davey sounded really emo and crybabyish at times on that album). This album is such a quick depature you can't blame some fans who felt betrayed
