Maximus if you want to you can try to check out fiction if you haven't I think it's pretty accessible more so than the other stuff but if you just REALLY don't like melo death then yea dont bother with this band

Insomnium and early CoB are the only melo-death I seem to like lol. Yeah, I've heard Fiction, couldn't get into it. :/
